There are many possibilities for funding MUTN projects in your community. Don’t only think about disability or senior specific funding. Go after other funding like infrastructure or tourism funding and dovetail your MUTN project into it.
One community has found money funding that will help build accessible walkways that will increase tourism. They are using funds that assist pine beetle affected areas.

BC Age-friendly Communities SHSI & Dialogue Grant
The Seniors' Housing & Support Initiative (SHSI) pilot project program is to support projects that provide innovative responses to challenges in the provision of housing, transportation, and social services to seniors wishing to age in place. Community Tourism Program (UBCM)
The Community Tourism Program is designed to assist local governments in building their economies by increasing tourism. Grant funding is available to local governments based on a per capita funding formula to undertake planning and capital projects for tourism related activities and initiatives. A local government is eligible to be funded at 100% of the total program costs, to a maximum contribution as determined by the per-capita funding formula.

Funding is available to local governments to undertake cultural development initiatives as part of the 2010 Legacies Now initiative to create sustainable legacies that will benefit all British Columbians as a result of hosting the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Funding is available to local governments to:
· Undertake cultural scans of local cultural assets, strengths, challenges and aspirations to provide the groundwork for the development of a cultural plan; and
· Undertake cultural planning that local governments can implement and evaluate their progress.
Funding will be to a maximum of 50% of costs. Maximum funds will be capped at per capita levels. Click here for the Program Guidelines.
